Q: What does “Marine Protected Lagoon” mean?

A: What it means is that by Cook Islands traditional law, no one is allowed to remove anything from the water or beach area.  That includes fish, coral or any other natural item.

Q: Are there any sharks in the lagoon or poisonous animals in the Cooks, especially snakes?

A: There has never been a shark spotted in the lagoon and the Cook Islands have no known animals that are poisonous to humans.  Additionally there are no snakes in the Cook Islands.

Q: What is your policy on children?

A: Children under the age of 15 are not permitted at the resort

Q: What is your policy on extra guests?

A: Our rooms accommodate only one or two people.  A third or more people are not permitted to stay in a room

Q: What do you suggest is the best transportation option for seeing Rarotonga?

A: We highly recommend that you rent a vehicle early in your visit as it far more economical to rent the vehicle for an entire week.  Taxis and a bus that circles the island are also available. Vehicle choices include automobiles, jeeps and other 4-wheel drive vehicles and motor scooters.  We can certainly help you arrange your preferred vehicle of choice.
