Consisting of only 15 islands scattered over some 2 million square kilometres of the Pacific Ocean, the Cook Islands has a total population of some 18,000 people. We lie in the centre of the Polynesian Triangle, flanked to the west by the Kingdom of Tonga and the Samoas and to the east by Tahiti and the islands of French Polynesia. Renowned for our Polynesian hospitality, we have our own unique language and culture and there are significant differences between the islands.
